From the onset of menstruation  to menopause and beyond, your body undergoes a unique journey. At Pelvic Form Physiotherapy we understand the physical, emotional and hormonal changes  that accompany each of these stages, and their effects.
Incontinence, prolapse, bowel difficulties and pelvic pain can cause much grief and anxiety for women. Improving quality of life and confidence for women in this most personal area can often be achieved with pelvic floor physiotherapy.
Whether it be regaining continence after a vaginal delivery, having pain-free sex, finding a non-surgical option to successfully manage pelvic organ prolapse or endometriosis pain, or physically preparing for and recovering from labour, we are committed to helping you achieve your goals.

Bladder Issues

Urinary Stress Incontinence:  accidental or involuntary loss of urine sometimes with a cough, sneeze, activity or playing sport.
Urinary Urge Incontinence: Urinary urgency is when there is a sudden and compelling desire to pass urine, which is difficult to defer or put off.
Urinary frequency: is the complaint where by a person feels they void or go to the toilet too often.
Nocturia: when you need to wake up in the night to urinate
Overactive bladder
Urinary Retention

Bowel Issues

Bowel Dysfunction: functional constipation, dyssynergic defecation,  gas and faecal incontinence, anal fissures, haemorrhoids and rectal prolapse.

Pelvic Issues

Pelvic Organ Prolapse: of the bladder, uterus or bowel

Pelvic Floor Muscle:  weakness or overactivity
Pelvic & Sexual Pain: vaginismus, vulvodynia, dyspareunia, levator ani syndrome, chronic proctalgia, proctalgia fugax and pudendal neuralgia
Coccyx or tailbone pain: fractures, dislocations and coccydynia
Pelvic Girdle Pain: sacroiliac joint and Symphysis Pubic Dysfunction (SPD)

Urinary incontinence can be a problem for women of all ages, but there is a  cure

​Urinary incontinence is urine leakage from a loss of bladder control. The condition mainly affects women after childbirth but it can occur for a variety of reasons in both men and women. Around 37% of Australian women and 13% of men have some form of the condition.
