About Pelvic Form Physiotherapy

Pelvic Form Physiotherapy began with a simple mission: to provide pelvic health care that is calm, respectful, empathetic, evidence-based and empowering.

That mission continues to guide everything we do. We take time to listen carefully, educate clearly, and support people to feel confident in their bodies - with care shaped by compassion, professionalism and collaboration.

Our Approach

Appointments are unhurried and guided by conversation, with time taken to understand what’s been happening and what matters most to you. Explanations are clear and practical and questions are always welcome!

Meet Amy

Amy Hansen is a qualified physiotherapist with a dedicated focus on pelvic health. She supports women, men, gender-diverse peoples and children with pelvic floor dysfunction, including urinary and faecal incontinence, defecation disorders, constipation and pelvic pain.

Amy graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 1996. On graduation, she was awarded The Rosemary E. Wilson Memorial Prize for Caring and Giving, recognising her compassionate and patient-centred approach to care.

Following the birth of her five children, Amy developed a strong clinical interest in pelvic floor physiotherapy - an area that continues to shape her work today. She is a registered member of the Continence Foundation of Australia, the Urogynaecological Society, the NSW Pelvic Pain Network, and the Women’s Health Training Institute. Amy has completed post graduate studies in Pelvic Health, majoring in the conservative treatment of pelvic organ prolapse.

Amy regularly attends conferences, seminars, short courses and specialist training to further develop her clinical skills and stay up to date with current evidence and advances in pelvic health physiotherapy.

Amy is passionate about pelvic health education and is available guest speaking engagements.

Meet Liz

Liz is an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist with a practical, evidence-based approach. Care is guided by clear assessment, open conversation, and realistic goals - not generic exercise sheets or rushed treatment. Liz is a hands on practitioner.

Liz is rapidly gaining experience in pelvic health treatment and has completed training with the Australian Physiotherapy Association in Pelvic Health. Liz is also being mentored by Amy.

Liz’s specialties are:

  • Back and neck pain

  • Joint pain and stiffness (shoulders, hips, knees, ankles)

  • Sports and overuse injuries

  • Postural and movement-related pain

  • Persistent or recurrent pain

Meet Jodie

Jodie is our receptionist and is proud to support Amy and Liz in the important work they do and enjoys being part of a practice that values thoughtful, respectful care. She looks after appointment coordination and enquiries, helping ensure each patient feels supported from their first point of contact.

Conscientious and compassionate, Jodie takes care to communicate clearly and appreciates open, responsive communication when coordinating appointments.

Guest speaking & education

Amy is available for guest speaking and education sessions for community groups, workplaces, health professionals, specialists and organisations. Topics can be tailored to the audience and may include pelvic health across life stages, pregnancy and post-birth care, perimenopause and menopause, men’s pelvic health, defecation disorders, constipation or children’s bladder and bowel health.

Sessions are practical, engaging often entertaining and designed to make conversations easier - whether the goal is awareness, education, or simply giving people a better understanding to optimise their pelvic health.

Amy has presented to gastroenterologists, urogynaecologists, gynaecologists, obstetricians, colorectal surgeons, urologists, GP’s, continence nurses, pelvic floor physiotherapists at both international and state conferences.

Closer to home she has presented to local medical practices, mother’s groups and various community groups
